Privacy Policy
Pocket Escape ("we", "us") is an independent app. This policy explains what the Pocket Escape app and website collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum.
What we collect
- Purchases and subscriptions. When you subscribe or buy, Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and unlock content. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app-user ID and records your purchase events, and may process device identifiers, IP address, and country.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics on the website and in the app to understand how Pocket Escape is used, for example which scenes are most popular and how visitors move through the site. It collects usage events, approximate location, device and app information, and identifiers, and sets cookies on the website.
- If you email us. Your email address and the contents of your message.
What we do not collect
- No account or login. No name, address, or password.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Why we use it
- To deliver, unlock, and restore your subscription.
- To measure and improve the app and website (popular scenes, site funnel).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:
- Apple:payments and app delivery (Apple Privacy Policy).
- RevenueCat:subscription management (RevenueCat Privacy Policy).
- Google:analytics (Google Privacy Policy).
These providers are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred to and processed there under appropriate safeguards.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies on the website to measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings. A cookie-consent control for the site is planned.
Retention
We keep purchase records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the UK and EU under GDPR, or California under the CCPA and CPRA), you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, and object to certain processing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any right, email support@pocketescape.app.
Children
Pocket Escape is a general-audience app (rated 4+) and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK and EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app or on the site.
